Open Studio Weekend!

October 8th, 2010 — 12:28am

My studio is taking part in the ASC Open Studios weekend and I’d like to invite you to visit!  The event is set to include all 11 buildings across south and east London, managed by the Artists’ Studio Company (ASC). I am based in Erlang House, near Waterloo, the biggest of the 11 venues.  With 9 floors of studios and a new art gallery in our building alone,  there should be plenty to see and perhaps buy.  I’m on the 8th floor in the compact but beautiful Studio 803, so if my work doesn’t impress, you’ll at least be guaranteed a nice view of the city!

You are very welcome to visit during the private view evening on Thursday 14th October or on the afternoons of Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th October 2010.  For those faraway friends with too far a commute, I’ll be blogging some photos after the event.

Hope to see some of you there.

ABOUT ASC:

Leading artist studio providers ASC will be hosting an open studios weekend on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th October 2010 from 12.00-6.00pm. The event is set to include all of our 11 buildings across south and east London. ASC is a registered charity that exists to support artists and currently provides work space to over 750 contemporary visual artists.

You are invited to visit all our buildings, meet the artists in their studios and see the work they are developing.

This event is a real opportunity to see and gain a better understanding of contemporary art from one of the largest studio providers in the UK. In some cases you will also be able to buy art directly from the artist without gallery commission.
