It's a little late I'm afraid as I've been busy working on editorial commissions this week.

I'm not exactly sure it's really the best advice I've ever got from someone, but it does make me laugh when I think about.
Another useful quote thats used to keep me right in long production meetings, courtesy of Mark Twain:
"It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt"
